Peter’s story

Beside the sea of Galilee
My Jesus walks with me
He shows me what my life should be
And The spirit sets me free

He’s promised never to leave me
But be my constant guide
To comfort me in times of trouble
And to celebrate in His victory

I walked with him for three whole years
And saw amazing things
Miricales and teaching
That totally blew my mind

Then suddenly he changed his tune
And talked about His death
No Lord I said that cant be true
If not I will stand always true to you

One night we went to the Passover feast
And he said the strangest thing
This is may body which is broken for you
Eat of it and you will live

Some one will deny me Three time
Before the cockrel crows
I would never do such thing
Oh lord it cant be me

The night kept getting darker
And He led us out to pray
We tried to stay awake and pray
But our flesh was weak from sorrow

Then Judas came with a mass of troops
And kissed my masters face
Then fear at last took a total hold
And all of us disciples fled

I followed at a distance
To the place they took him to
I huddled by the fire for warmth
And my heart was cold as cold

Then my deepest dread came true
And the people questioned me
You are his friend you walked with him
No No you are so wrong

Three times I stood to deny my Lord
And then the cockerall crowd
And suddenly Jesus’s words came back
And sadness pierced my heart

They took him away and beat up
Mocked him and put him on trial
We all were watching in the crowd
When they cried out to have him die

The lonely walk to the hill of death
Was the longest I’d ever watched
My heart was filled with grief and pain
But Mary Jesus mother who can feel the grip of pain
That must have been there that day

They nailed him to a cross of shame
And he hug there all alone
The people jeered and called him King
But all he said was “father forgive”

He said to me behold your mum
And peter your precious son
The world turned black as the Saviour died
And peoples hearts were filled with fear

We buried him in a strangers tomb
And left to share and grieve and pray
Three days he lay there and so we thought
This was the end that death had won

But as His mum went to the tomb
She met a man who said do not fear
He’s not here for he has risen
Now tell the good news to all his friends

We were gathered in a tiny room
The doors were locked and we were in fear
Then all of a sudden Jesus was there
Showing us all his hands, his feet
And finally Thomas believed

Then one day he appeared to me
Again by the sea of Galilee
He said to me Peter do you love me
And three times I told him I did

If you love me feed my sheep
you are a rock and on your life
I will build my church once more
And forever they will be free

So this is my story I can tell
Of a God of the second chance
A Saviour love mercy and grace
Of healing forgiveness and Love

So what will you do with the story I told
My Jesus is calling to you
He’s coming to lead you by the hand
And set your life for ever free

At last in heaven face to face
We will see the King of King
Worship and bow down at his feet
And join his angels in ceaseless praise

A parable of patience

A parable of patience
Once there was a farmer, who bought a baby apple tree. He lovingly put it in the ground watered it and fed it with good things and the tree settled down and was growing nicely. But then one night there was a mighty storm, the little tree survived as it had firmly established its roots, but on one of the branches there was a split and almost came off. In the morning the farmer came out to survey the damage hoping his new tree had survived, and great joy filled his heart when he saw that it had but he was saddened to see it so damaged
Now the farmer had to choices he could either cut it down or burn it, or he could lovingly care for it and make it better and make it strong. The farmer was a kind and patient man so he got some sealing tape and bound the split up and then he got a stake and put it in the ground next to it and tied the tree to the stake for stability. Now the tree had been planted from a good strong seed so the farmer was happy to know that it would mend and grow strong again.
Over the next week the farmer continued to care for it until the split grew out and started to grow again and over the next 5 years the tree grew in strength as the gentle breeze swayed its branches and made the bark strong and a gentle rain fell and nourished the tree and grew big and strong
At harvest time the farmer came out to pick the fruit of his labour and the tree had produced some truly stunning fruit, the farmer’s young son was with him, and he gave his son an apple. The apple was good to eat and the boy was very happy.
“Daddy can we plant one of the apple seeds and see if it will grow”
“Yes of course my son” and that very day they planted the seed. And as the boy grew so did he tree and finally after many years that tiny seed grew into another apple tree and bore much fruit for the son who take over the farm from his father and so life goes on

Dear Young One… A letter to my 10 y/o self

Dear Young One… A letter to my 10 y/o self.

this is awesome a lady of real hope

Be encouraged

I will strengthen you
I will heal you
Give me your thoughts
give me your fears
I will set you free at last
From all that holds you back

Trust in me with all your heart
And  you will see
how to stand upon my word
how to stand upon my truth

Stand in the mighty power of God
Stand in his grace and love
For you indeed are my precious child
And you have no need to fear

Set before you my word each day
Follow always in my way
Do what I say and say each word
And you will come to the victory

Does anyone know my Jesus

Does any one know about my lord?
Does any one know what pain he endured?
On that awful Calvary
Does any one know why he died for me?

He died because he loved us so.
He died to set us free from sin.
He gave up his glory in heaven above
To come to this sinful world below.

But now he has risen from the dead
And the church now has him at the head
He still would heal the sick the blind
If we would only trust in him

Trust in his redeeming blood.
Take his body and his love.
Take his precious holy spirit
Into our hearts and become one.

One in body one in mind
One in truth and love and joy
And when before his throne we stand
We will take this Promised Land
